Hi I am Gordon Conroy. I live in Sydney although my favourite place is Cairns North Queensland where I try to spend at least some of each year and the photo was taken.

My interest in Philosophy began when i moved to Sydney from the bush to study Engineering at Sydney University in the 60s. At that time there was a lot of turmoil on campus with the Vietnam war protests and I became interested in Existentialist philosophy with Camus and Sartre.

I have since retired from an Engineering career and taken up Philosophy again through the Pathways Program.

I now see more of the broader picture but still find myself coming back to Sartre.
