June Grönner: Nipedalen, Laksevåg, Norway

June Grönner at Emerson College

At Emerson College, I have been busy with all the new 'Spirit of English' students from Poland, Romania, Germany, Switzwerland, Italy, Iceland, Texas and Japan — and Estonia! We have just come back from the Lake District visiting William and Dorothy Wordsworth's home in Grasmere, John Ruskin's palatial home on Lake Coniston, the Stone Circle near Keswick, and finally Howarth and the home of the Brontes.

The boy from Estonia disappeared on a montain but turned up again at dusk down at the hostel. He said he had been perfectly alright but we were not!

We are now back at Emerson — but the days are not long enough, neither are the evenings...
