3 years ago I suffered a severe brainstem stroke. Since then I can't talk, and almost not move. But don't worry, in fact I was quite lucky and kept my intelligence and could handle a personal computer. So I changed my life as mathematical engineer doing projects all over the world, for virtual travelling and philosophy. I learned philosophy through the Internet as well as HTML (the most used programming language on the digital highway). The advantage was that I was not stuffed with prejudices, and followed my own way. Born in 1953 I grew up with names like Sartre, Einstein, Popper, Marcuse etc. I noticed that young fashionable philosophers tended to neglect their teachers. That's why I decided to write an overview of 20th century philosophy, with first hand knowledge and showing slightly more distance to the subject. It can be found : here . Many times I met the names of Nietzsche and Wittgenstein. These guys must have been brilliant. I revived the Tractatus Logico Philosophicus of Wittgenstein in writing a Mini-Tractatus and my second philosophical study project became Nietzsche and Wittgenstein on democracy. t life but with e-mail and Internet I travel even faster than before all over the world.Greetings from Holland! Henk Tuten NB. Because I don't have a picture of myself on pc, I choose a pic of the city in which I live. |
